The Herbal Pantry

 photo PetersGateHerbFarmLabelDesignforTheHerbalPantry_zpsda052320.jpg

As of December 2014 Peter's Gate is now stocking a herbal pantry.

A lovely range of edible products, all homemade and using the best ingredients from around the area.

We are now producing freeze-dried herbs and chillies, homemade fudge and fennel biscuits. A range of herbal vinegars, homemade cordials and herb salts. Plus a delicious selection of homemade sugars, including vanilla, lavender and rose sugar.

Why not pop down (or up) to Peter's Gate Herbal Centre and check out our brand new Herbal Pantry.

 Home school once a month

Varying in age from eight months to sixteen years, the children visit Peter’s Gate Herb Farm as part of their home school group. Every month the children participate in two different activities, one focusing on gardening and one on craft.

At R25 a child, which includes a snack (of homemade juice and cupcakes) the morning is one that offers children the chance to spend sometime in the outdoors. Be it making a scarecrow, planting a herb or (as they so often do) chasing a chicken.

If you are interested in joining the home school group please contact Karen Makin at

HOME SCHOOL 22 August at 10.00.
