Common Thyme

Thymus vulgaris

Thyme prefers well drained dry soil and full sun. Thyme is known and used by nearly everyone. It is a hardy perennial which can be added at the beginning of cooking to almost any meat dish. It is also good in herb breads, butters and tomato based sauces. All Thyme must be used sparingly. Thyme breaks down fats and is good to include with fatty meat.

Broad Leaf Thyme

Broad leaf time reaches a height of 20cm and had small pink flowers.  Thyme prefers well drained dry soil and full sun. It is a hardy perennial which can be added at the beginning of cooking to almost any meat dish. It is also good in herb breads, butters and tomato based sauces. It is also nice in muffins. It is used as an antibacterial herb and is good for coughs

Compact Thyme
