Horseradish is a perennial which grows best in fertile and moist soil. Horseradish is propagated from the root cuttings. This herb has a number of culinary uses and can be used in a number of dishes (grate fresh root, make into a sauce with vinegar or cream).  Use with beef, chicken, fish or potato dishes. Its medicinal uses include as a treatment for arthritis, gout and urinary infections. Taken with honey or sugar it can be used as a cough mixture. It also assists in helping to ease bacterial infections.
