This biennial herb enjoys full sun and well-drained soil. Evening primrose usually grows quite close to the ground. The large flowers, which are sweet-scented and yellow, usually make an appearance in the evening, giving the herb its name, evening primrose. Grow in full sun in light, well-drained soil. Evening Primrose can be used as a sedative and in the treatment of intenstinal disorders. It has also been used to treat coughs and chest ailments.
