Ajuga may be identified through its glossy green leaves and spires of rose-coloured or blue flowers, which bloom in mid/late summer. Height: 15cm. A perennial, Ajuga grows in moist, well fertilised soil and can grow in full sun or shade. It has been used medicinally to treat bleeding from cuts and wounds (leaves). Cultivation of Ajuga can be tricky as germination is often slow and unpredictable, Sow in spring or autumn making sure to leave the seed close to the surface. Divide the more established roots in spring or autumn
