This very hardy perennial takes severy heat and frost. It seldom requires water even in the hottest weather.Rosemary is a pungent perennial which can be used, from the beginning of cooking, for all meat dishes, especially those with heavy sauces, like red wine. Rosemary also enhances tomato dishes and is tasty in scones and herb breads. Dried Rosemary is even more pungent than fresh. Use sparingly. Rosemary with leg of lamb is a delicacy, which makes the extra saving for the meat well worthwhile.
